Cute-thulhu!

I could go on and on about Cute-thulhu from Jellibat, but I think I will let Cute-thulhu's creator do the talking this time! And I quote:

"Lovecraft never imagined his creation to be so cuddly! Cute-thulhu is the cutest cthulhu to ever send you mad!"

'nuff said!

Art Inspires... Art!

We have a Triple Threat here today folks! Two Paintings and a Monster! From two different artists! A painting of a Monster that inspired a Monster! A giant collaborative art fest!

Here's how it went down: According to my sources, Fluffy Flowers was so inspired by Mariadiana Designs' paintings of Blue, that she went into her secret (Gnome Making) Headquarters and created a Blue of her very own! Our ionlylikemonsters Wiki(monster)Leaks got a hold of the news, and we felt it was our obligation to report it to the people!

Obviously, once we heard, there was no way we could keep this to ourselves. Do you know what this kind of artistic cross-pollination means?! This kind of art increases exponentially! We could have monsters and paintings everywhere! It could happen anywhere! Life could be a Utopia! You never know where it could end! Blue himself might be the first monster to visit a free Democratic Middle East! No, really, It could happen! In fact, I'm going on over to Fluffy Flowers and Mariadiana Designs now, to thank them for this fantastic contribution to world peace! I can see it all now, "Blue: The monster heard 'round the world!"

Domain: Eukaryote
Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Chordata
Class: Actinopterygii
Order: Salmoniformes
Family: Salmonidae
Genus: Oncorhynchus

It's a good time!

Planto Monsters!

Look what I found, Planto Monsters from Boto Designs! I've never had a monster that was a plant, but I imagine they would be very helpful with gardening and such. What would be really great is if Planto would tell me when and how much to water! That would certainly help my non-monster plants live a longer and more enjoyable life!

Grump Monster!

I know you were expecting a picture of me, but actually this is my doppelganger, Griswold the Grump from Odd Sox Rox ! We are practically identical twins! He truly is my "brother from another mother" and we have lots in common! You can go read about him and his sister Sweet Pea (Who is not so sweet!) at Odd Sox Rox or go "Like" the Odd Sox Facebook page for continuing updates and Sox adventures!

Sockmonsters!

We have discussed Roland's feelings about Sock Monsters before. The more time he spends with them, the more difficulty he has knowing how to approach regular socks. It makes him very nervous! In an attempt to help him through this I've decided to do a little "Flooding" and Prolonged Exposure" therapy with him. Today we shall begin by introducing him to the awesome crew from Sock-Monsters and then comparing and contrasting them with regular socks untill he begins to feel more comfortable! While we are busy following the protocol (this could take days), you can go over to Sock-Monsters and check out all their unique and original sock monster options!

More BunnyMonsters!

As you know, we here at IOLM take our public service very seriously! Not only are we part of the national Zombie Alert Network (ZAN) but we also work diligently to keep you appraised regarding the impending Bunnymonster Apocalypse. To that end we have another Bunnymonster sighting to report, this time at Usagi Rabbit.

The first Bunnymonster that was brought to our attention was the Usagi from the Black Lagoon (Picture # 1 in your handout). This frightening creature is known to associate with the Usagi bride of Frankenstein (#2) as well as known members of the Skull Bunny gang (#3 and #4).

The most dangerous of all the Bunnymonsters in this alert is the incredibly devious BunnyClownMonster! This bunny has been known to steal hearts, lowering your defenses, and thus paving the way for the Bunnymonsters to inundate your home! Watch out! Remember, our best chance is to befriend the bunnymonsters but to STAY ALERT to their dangerous nature. Remember they are still wild animals and can never truly be tamed!

Dog, Cat, and Crowmonsters!

If you've been following along at home, you know that I have run out of wall space for paintings, and that the people I live with are not pleased when I spend my cable bill/rent money on art (weirdos!)

Sooo, I've decided to TRY to refrain from buying all the the pictures I love, OR at least to attempt to purchase them in in other forms!

Luckily, one of my favorite shops IN THE WORLD, 3Crows: Original Works by Sara Pulver has made many of my favorite paintings into wonderful cards! That way I can see them, own them, and share them, all without taking up any more wall space (or having to pay that extra fee for reinstating the cable!) Here is a selection of my favorites for your perusal!

Zomsters!

More tentacled friends, this time for your walls! These ones are from Zomsters and are available in several forms. I particularly like the mounted prints, since I am sick of buying frames! This is the crew I want, but there are many Zomsters for you to choose from, so you can pick out a set that's just perfect for you!

Beedot Monsters!

Today it is my distinct pleasure to introduce you to my pals, Yeti, Mummy Bear, Vampire Bat, and Skullie from Beedot! They may look a bit serious at the moment, but that's just how they are around new people. Once they get to know you though, it's nothing but tickle fights and "got your nose!" Seriously, it's nuts...

The Monstoctopus: A Dream Come True!

Love & A Sandwich alerted me to a new species of monster I had never seen, and now adore, The Monstoctopus! Imagine how excited I was! I mean, you know how I feel about cephalopods, and I think I've been pretty clear about my feelings regarding monsters! Truly a dream come true! Thanks, Love & A Sandwich!

Kikei Mono Monsters!

Sometimes I feel bad for my mail carrier, having to carry all the packages I order from the interwebs. I assuage my guilt by telling myself I am helping to keep snail mail alive,
and really, he has to be entertained by the drawings most of the artists put on their boxes, and all the different places that the monsters come from!

Well, I hope he's keeping track, because this handsome little monster from Kikei Mono is coming to us from Singapore! The furthest ever! I'm pretty excited! I'm also thrilled that these monsters come in large (couch protecting) or small (key guardian) sizes!

SO! go to Kikei Mono now, make me proud, annoy your mail carrier, and get yourself a package from Singapore too!

Custom Monsters!

I've been meaning to post these little guys from Philbarbato for a while now. I love them all, but of course I'm obsessed with the cephalopods!

For once though, I was thinking only of the post, when I went over
to Philbarbato to see what was new, and this is what I found:

"These squishy cephalopods are flying off the craft-show tables faster than I can make them! But you want one really bad, don't you? Now you can have one! You get to pick the colors and I'll make it just for you!"

It's like it was written directly to me! How did he know? Psychic powers? I'm not sure, but I think I have to get one now, right? I mean, it's like a SIGN!

Om Nom Monster!

I have a confession to make. I up and bought Om Nom before you could even look at him! I tried to resist, I did! I meant to post him first, so you could get a chance to see if you wanted to purchase him, but I couldn't do it. I'm sorry. It's just that I love Mint Conspiracy, AND they don't usually make big monsters, AND the blurb stated that he might be the only one, AND I knew that if I bought him immediately they would be more likely to make more, AND then you could have a better chance of getting one yourself, see? So really, now that I think about it, I did it for you...

Monster Friends! See them all in the older posts!
