Bear Hug for Japan!

Sleepy King is donating 25% of the proceeds from this irresistible Bear Creature to the Red Cross! Go to Sleepy King for the details. I will be here, debating whether I should order one for myself or for one of those babies that are distracting me from my PURE self-absorption! What a dilemma! No one warned me that other people having babies changed you!

Yetis!

It still feels like winter to me so I've been missing my Yetis! These particular Yeti come to us from Plush Goodness where you can get your Yeti in the classic color scheme (white) or choose from the other options available! Whichever you choose, all are supremely hug-able and will definitely help keep you warm during this arctic (California) winter we are having!

Garbage Pets!

I hope these guys are called Garbage Pets because they are made from recycled materials, and not because they will go through your garbage at night looking for food (As though you don't already feed them the most expensive food you can afford!) because I already have a Dogmonster that does that, and I certainly don't need another! I think I'll just swing by Garbage Pets to make sure before I order one, just in case!

Grrr Monster!

Now that Roland's speech and interpretive dance for International Monster's Day has become a full blown Musical, I have lots of time to post creatures that he would normally balk at! This White Grrr from Perfect Children is a favorite of mine, but his crazed look (and vicious teeth!) make Roland nervous. Although, really I don't think Roland has much ground to stand on, when it comes to judging other creature's crazed expressions! Next thing you know he'll start complaining about them being too excitable...

Toys in the Attic Monsters!

Good morning! Today I'd like to introduce you to
Bluto and Presto from Toys in the Attic. Now normally I would discuss my feelings about them with you (or ramble on about something irrelevant) but as you may have noticed, sometimes I just have to quote the shop description. Presto here is one of those situations, so here you go:

"Presto has strange and mysterious powers beyound earthly comprehension. You want him as a friend and not foe, because if he decides you got to go its curtains for you and your crew. When he's done with ya, yo mama won't even recognize you because he'll turn you into something gross like a fungus or a member of the Papparazzi; that's just how Presto rolls.

Presto's body was made from an ultra fuzzy black sock and is softer than a kitten's nose. His huge eyes were hand painted and glow in the dark to let suckas know he's watchin' them!"

Timmie!

Is it my imagination, or does Timmie from So Softies, go from serious to smiling slightly, when he has his hat on? Look! It's true in both pictures! He's trying to be cool and pretend that he doesn't totally love his hats but he can't help himself! Oh Timmie, you don't have to pretend with us, we love your hats too! I recommend going over to So Softies to check out the rest of the Timmie-related paraphernalia, especially the great stickers!

Feltality Creatures!

I love hunting monsters (catch and release only!) because, not only do I get to discover new creatures but their stories are always interesting and usually quite amusing as well! These creatures from Feltality are the perfect examples of this. Did you know that Drumple the unicorn was the world's dumbest? No, you did not, and neither did I, but now we both know! See! I AM NOT WASTING MY TIME ON THE INTERWEBS ALL DAY! I am learning things, important things, er, well, interesting things. Interesting to me anyway, Oh, I give up! Let me put it another way, at least no one is getting hurt! How 'bout that? Yes? That's right! So let's keep it that way shall we?

Minu Monster!

Just got back from Minu, where I learned about a magical creature called Viech! Here, I'll let the experts at Minu give you the details:

"Viech is very cuddly and cute, but be aware! Viecher (pl) are not aware of their own strength, have no idea about the sharpness of their claws, are clumsy, do horrendously stupid things and afterward look at you with their black innocent eyes and start ‘but I just ….’ "

What do you think? Ready to adopt? I know I am! But if you are on the fence, or are a little worried about those claws, you can always go over to Minu and learn about the other rare and amazing creatures they keep there!

Weirdo Monsters!

Lately my friends and family have decided to have babies! After a lot of thought I determined that there is only one reasonable response to this: Monsters! I did some research, and I discovered that while it is true that all human babies need monsters, only some monsters are actually appropriate companions for your miniature human!

So, after learning what to look for, I went through my "Favorites" in search of the perfect "baby" monsters, and thus starts our new series: Monsters You May Get Inundated With, If You Know Me and Have Had or Will Soon Be Having a Baby (MYMGIWIYKMAHHOWSBHAB!) We begin our series with the wonderful Little Weirdos from Susarto! They seem completely baby friendly and THEY ARE WASHABLE!!! What more could you ask for! I know I'm pretty excited! If you are a new auntie or uncle, or are about to be one, you may want to get on over to Susarto now, before I send them all to my loved ones and completely fill up what little space they have left with monsters!

Canoo Monsters!

These handsome Monsters come to us from Canoo which I think means "really awesome eyes" in French! No? Oh. I must have been misinformed. But I guess that's what happens when you get all your information from monsters! Go to Canoo to see the rest of the ojos bonitos (Spanish!) for yourself!

Block Monsters!

If you have been troubled by the thought of your monster friends rolling away, then these are the creatures for you! Block monsters
from Little Fluff Stuff are Guaranteed not to roll anywhere! I checked the fine print and it's true! I noticed that it didn't say anything about hopping though, so you may still want to keep them in a confined space. I've had a bit of experience with monsters, and they look like hoppers to me...

Giggle Monsters!

Orange Giggle Monster
from Giggle Monster Quilts has stolen my heart! I don't need to explain why, all I'm saying is the only thing that would make me love him more is if he had tentacles! Oh wait! What is that I see? Six tentacle-like appendages? Yes! That's what I'm talking about!

Hollow Shells BunnyMonsters!

Roland is a little bit scared of these guys, but since he is still writing his speech (and interpretive dance!) for International Monster's Day I thought I'd sneak them in too! They are called Moogs and I think they are awesome! These Moogs can be found at Hollow Shells so get on over there today, and don't worry about those giant claws, I hear that they just use them for digging holes to plant spring flowers in! Whew!

Cuddly Carnivores!

This one goes out to Scatterbrian, who has always maintained, despite my doubts, that carnivorous bunnies do exist. I admit I thought he was foolish, but now I see that I was the one who was wrong, oh, so wrong! Well, I am big enough to apologize online and even invite one of these phenomenal creatures from Ruth Creations home for dinner! I hope they like turkey meatloaf...

Cretur Fetur Monster!

I mentioned a while back that I was learning how to needle felt. So far I have managed to needle felt wool into a ball-like shape and break two needles! Woohoo! So now when I see something as magnificent as this monster from Cretur Fetur, it impresses me even more! Cretur Fetur is known for "enthusiastically featuring the unusual, the little-known, the misunderstood, the underappreciated, and the all-around awesome." I'd say they got that right! Don't you agree?

Monster Friends! See them all in the older posts!
