Scarecrows and Creatures, Creatures!

I'm not really sure what is going on here, but I do know is this guy looks awfully happy for a creature that looks like he's being skewered! Him and his buddies are from Scarecrows and Creatures, where they apparently create themselves, when the paintbrush touches the board! How cool is that?! Perhaps I should start needle felting that way, and just see who shows up! I suspect there are many, many, creatures patiently waiting for just such an opening!

Funker Market Monsters!

Today I am pleased to introduce you to my New Favorite Things. I don't really know what most of them are, but they look like monsters to me! I found them at the hilarious and wondrous, Funker Market, and all of them NEED to come live in my house! I would print the shop descriptions here, but they are all so funny (and totally helpful!) that I am incapable of choosing just one! Go to Funker Market yourself and read them all. Baby Yetis!

These baby Yetis come to us from from The Monster Cafe and once again, I have to post the shop's description here, so you can enjoy it too! Here you go:

Spring is in the air and with it brings the birth of new baby yetis to the world. Even though they have just started to toddle about the dens, baby yetis are extremely curious and love to make new friends. Perhaps you could be their companion?!

Standing on wobbly feet, the babies lift their arms to give you a hug of welcome. This tiny yeti with icy snow white fur has tiny black and white horns atop his small head. Adorning his tummy, black and white stripes swirl around his chubby middle with a pair of glistening white fangs which flash when he grins.

M is for Miche Monsters!

I have been assured that these frightening looking monsters from M is for Miche are very friendly and perfectly safe! But, even more importantly, they both have pocket mouths that they will be happy to use to keep your valuables (or weapons!) safe and at hand! Did I just say weapons? Yes I did. I just finished watching an old 1970's movie where the heroine tucked her gun into a stuffed lion. So, there you go, a new use for pocket mouths! Very handy for when you go to shoot the drug dealer that beat up your cop friend...

Oh Ma Felt Friends!

I was happy to find these
Bat, Frank, Esprit, and Cat friends at OhMaFelt, and I was even happier to discover this one small sentence at the end of Bat friend's description:

"Bat friend only eats fruit, not rhinos, not ever."

So that's a relief! Right? I know I feel better knowing that! Don't you?

Jellykoe Monsters!

Now this is something I have never thought about, and I must say, it puts a whole new spin on crying! Talk about "re-framing!" I mean, it's nice to know someone is having a good time! Trigo Monsters!

I don't know about you, but I am very hard on my wallets, purses, jewelry, and shoes, so I am always looking for the most indestructible available. These up-cycled tire monster coin purses from Trigo look like they might just be able to survive me (and monsters do tend to be the most durable of creatures anyway! They are just built tough!)

Baron Ripper Von Sharkenstein!

I know I have bemoaned my sad lack of crochet skills many, many, many, times here on iolm. But this time the pain is unbearable! Because I KNOW that if I could crochet, this shark from The Tattered Pickle is all I would crochet! I would make hundreds of them! Everyone I know would receive one, and then I would start just leaving them places! Because, my god, they are freeking hilarious! I'm sorry, but this is just the kind of thing I never get tired of! AND, as anyone who knows me knows, that sadly, really is true. There are certain jokes that will continue to be hilarious to me, long after you have tired of them! I think it is some kind of evolutionary/survival thing. Clearly my ancestors had to spend A LOT of time alone entertaining themselves! Then again, maybe that's why we had to spend a lot of time alone...

Zombie Squid!

I don't even need to say anything. We all know there is no way in the world I could refrain from posting these guys! Not just because they are cephalopods, not just because they are Zombies, but for Pete's sake, the name of the shop is SquidsInc! Honestly, it's not even fair! I would have to be superhuman to be able to resist!

Suki Suki Monsters!

Hmmm, I'm hungry. What about you? Feeling a bit peckish? I thought so! Here you go then, dig in to some delicious devil and vampire donuts from Suki Suki. Yum! After all, nothing says breakfast like Devils and Nosferatu! Happy breakfast!

The Plushinator!

However, I do realize that at this particular moment Sol may be a bit out of my reach, and really, I should probably try to be a little more practical. Soooo, after talking myself down, I did what I always do when I realize these things, which is, buy ice cream! AND, this time, for once, the ice cream will not be adding to my waistline! Woohoo! Mischievous Yeti!

Yay! I love in-box monsters! It is so much fun to check the e-mail and find a new creature! This one comes from our friends at Oy, With The Plushies, Already! He looks sweet and personable to me, but If you are easily offended don't look at the last picture! Like I mentioned, he is a bit mischievous, (Yes, that is his bum!)

Puca Sasquatch!

I just discovered this amazing new species of Sasquatch at Puca Curios! I would describe them myself, but the instructions are VERY complicated and important, so I think I will leave it to the experts at Puca Curios :

"Deep in the back woods of Canada and the Northern United States there lives a rare race of Puca Sasquatches. We all know that everyone has a cousin's uncle's brother's friend who has seen a regular sized Sasquatches traipsing through some remote mountain man camp (they are quite attracted by the smells of baked beans and Old Spice Cologne) but Puca Sasquatches are quite another story. Puca Sasqutches are only about 9 inches tall and are quick on their tiny little feet. Indigo Twin Monsters

These monsters from Indigo Twin look like a lot of fun individually, but put them together and the fun grows exponentially! Don't take my word for it, try it yourself! In fact, I do believe Indigo Twin even has an "Exponential Fun Guarantee"or that could just be my imagination. You'd best check with them...
