Hannakin Creatures!

Hannakin is a one stop kick-ass monster shop, with plush, prints, cards, and jewelry! I am a fan of all the art there, but I have to say I was stopped in my tracks when I saw "the Music" print! Delightful monsters AND my favorite Leonard Cohen quote, be still my heart! Honestly, I don't think I've ever busted out the wallet faster!

MadKnits Monsters!

You know what I like about monsters? Everything! BUT, today while I was going through the list, I re-realized that one thing I particularly like about them is their many sizes, forms, personalities, and colors. You really can find a monster for any household! AND, as we all know, every household needs one! Today's excellent examples come to us from Mad Knits, where they specialize in big toothed protector monsters bred in a variety of amazing colors!

Egg Shew the Yoga Ball Monster!

Once again I have come across such an extraordinary beast, with such an unusual description, that nothing I could write would ever do it justice! On occasions such as this, all I can do is quote the shop's description and sit back and let you enjoy it for yourself! This creature was found at Plaider Pillar who states, and I quote:

"So anyway, this guy is a yoga ball monster. What does that mean? It means he's inflatable by means of a yoga ball inserted into his face, of course. You can sit on him, unless your butt is made of knives. But even then, you can sit on him . . . once.

All you have to do is put the yoga ball in the monster through his face hole, face hole, inflate it with a pump, and plug the ball, ball. Then, tuck the face flap, face flap in around the edges. You should inflate the ball so that it completely fills the monster, monster, and the pressure will keep the face flap, face flap in place while you bounce on him, bounce on him.

You might be like, "Why is these instructions so fun to read, read?" To find out the answer, you'll have to purchase this righteous beast."

Zombear!

Beware the dreaded Zombear from Bijou Kitty! This deadly creature will attack your heart and turn your brain to mush! All you will be left able to do is push "add to cart," oh noooo!

Cephalopod Love!

These friendly cephalopods were found at Green Dogs and Things where you can get one (or ten!) in the color of your choice!

There are so many wonderful creatures at
Alberto Cerriteno's Online Shop, that I could hardly figure out which ones to post!

I can not get over how exciting it is when there are so many gorgeous (and affordable!) prints to choose from! Come visit me in my rocking chair after school kiddies, and I'll regal you with tales of how hard it used to be to find unique art for your home... Oh wait, I've already done that.

HiiRagi Army Creatures!

Having  carefully vetted us to make sure of our politics, the agents at Wendy June turned us on to the awesome and awe-inspiring HiiRagi Army!
 After meeting in secret and reading their manifesto, we were thoroughly converted to their cause, and now believe they are destined to take over the world. Come join us, and we shall all become minions in the glorious HiiRagi Army!!

Golden Section Creatures!

I think these incredible prints from Golden Section Art and Jewelry would look wonderful on the wall in the room (in my head) with the AJ Fosik sculptures from Wednesday. Sure it would be "busy" but you could spend hours in there and never be bored! Luckily, these prints are much more in line with my budget, than the sculptures. So at least that half of my fantasy room is achievable!

Bambaks!

Well my goal of saving money for yesterday's art work, by not buying any other creatures, is being sorely tested today by these fabulous Bambaks! I'm holding on by a thread. The only thing keeping me in line is the difficulty deciding which one to buy since they are all so wonderful. Wish me luck, I'm going to need it!

AJ Fosik Creatures!

Hello, and welcome to: "Things I Would Buy If I Had All The Money In The World." These wooden sculptures by AJ Fosik are the most beautiful things I have ever seen. They are a bit out of my price range, but I'm sure that if I saved by money, and didn't buy any other monsters for about five years I could eventually acquire one of my own! I wonder if I have that kind of will power? Hmmm...

Green Monster!

I was completely charmed by this jaunty green fellow from Wendy June-Art and Other Distractions. I think he may have to come live with me. I like his style and that mischievous glint in his eye, and I just have this feeling that he and Roland would get along swimmingly!

"Knees Would Be Nice" Robot!

Crochette Creatures!

Wow! Texas must be even crazier than I pictured! These mounted creatures can be found at Crochette, in Dallas. Where I can only assume they run (and swim!) wild until (after they die of natural causes) the talented taxidermy team at Crochette turns them into stunning works of art for your home! Talk about amazing! Clearly THE gift for the "person who has everything!"
